Wealth advisory firm Snowden Lane Partners has established its first office in Florida.
Located in Coral Gables, the new location is the firm’s tenth office in the US.
The firm also has offices in New York, which serves as its base, as well as Pasadena, San Diego, New Haven, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Salisbury, Bethesda, and San Antonio.
The new location is staffed by two advisory teams, who previously managed a combined $344m in assets at Merrill Lynch.
The advisers are Owen Parr, Francisco Murillo, Arnaldo Rego and George Arias.
Moving to Snowden, Parr and Murillo have set up the Parr Murillo Group and serve as partners and managing directors.
The team’s client associate Alberto Bravo has also migrated to the new group.
On the other hand, Rego and Arias serve as partners and managing directors of the Rego Arias Group.
The two groups will tend to HNW families and institutions in the US and abroad, focusing on offering financial planning and estate planning services.
Snowden managing partner and CEO Rob Mooney said: “Opening in Coral Gables represents another step forward in building our firm’s international business, now represented with teams in San Diego, New York and Coral Gables.
“We think more financial adviser teams will realise that a specialty boutique like ours, with proven capabilities and deep experience, can provide a superior client experience, and is a preferable alternative to the large banks that are restricting cross-border business.”
